Five Promotions At Edward Don Strengthen Future Outlook

As it marks its 95th anniversary, Edward Don & Company has announced several organizational promotions. Steve Don, President/CEO of the family-owned company, says the moves were made to ensure the company’s future success. “As we approach $1 billion in sales and our 100th anniversary, the senior leadership team made a decision to strengthen Don’s foundation and sustainable growth.”

Maryann May has been appointed to Managing Director-Information Technology. Al May has been named Managing Director-Supply Chain Management; John Fahey is Don’s new Managing Director-Credit and Treasury. Pete Angenend has been appointed Managing Director-Merchandising, and Jay Chernoff now fills the office of Managing Director-IMCO.

The five promotions were effective in April. Don, which reported 2015 sales of nearly $790 million, serves customers nationwide through six distribution centers. In 2012, the company opened a new corporate headquarters and distribution center in Woodridge, Ill.
