Zink Foodservice Marks 40th Anniversary

Zink Foodservice is celebrating its 40th year in business this year, a milestone for the Midwestern rep firm.

The company was founded in 1977 in Columbus, Ohio, as Finn-Zink Associates by Skip Zink and Frank Finn. It had its “big break” when it added Ardco's line of refrigerated glass doors to its portfolio, which at that time also included Kolpak, a startup walk-in cooler company. An expanded portfolio, territory growth and infrastructure expansion followed. In 1991, Skip Zink became the sole owner and renamed the company Zink Marketing. A decade later Jim Zink and Mike McGuire purchased the company, and lead the company today as managing partners.

“2017 marks four decades of representing an outstanding portfolio of premier brands; it is a privilege that we do not take lightly,” says Jim Zink. “We will continue to look for innovative ways to serve our manufacturers and customers.”
