Dudson Appoints New Chairman

Hospitality tableware manufacturer Dudson has named Martin McCourt as its new Chairman. He will replace Ian Dudson upon his retirement from the company, headquartered in Stoke-on-Trent.

McCourt has spent 40 years working in British-based manufacturing. He’s spent the last 15 years as CEO of Dyson. In his new post, he’ll assist the eighth and ninth generations of the Dudson family in growing the 217-year-old company.

Dudson CEO Max Dudson explains, “We have ambitious growth plans to expand sales of our tableware into new territories and we are delighted to welcome Martin into the fold. His experience will prove invaluable to our board as he has a proven track record of successfully expanding British manufactured products into new markets.”

Martin McCourt added, “Dudson has a rich and long history of manufacturing ceramic products and exporting them the world over. Its latest Evo and Harvest tableware ranges are desirable in a number of overseas markets and the company has upscaled its operations accordingly. I am relishing the opportunity to implement a rigorous international growth strategy for Dudson products to capitalize on this demand.”
