Registration Opens For AHF Annual Conference

Registration has opened for the Association for Healthcare Foodservice’s 8th Annual Conference, August 15-18, at The Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Md.

“In addition to eight concurrent educational sessions, this year’s conference features important business topics ranging from improving communications skills, to leadership development to increasing staff engagement,” says Julie Jones, AHF President and Director of Nutrition Services at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. “And, of course, our signature event: the AHF annual culinary competition.”

The conference for food and nutrition professionals from self-operated facilities also will offer a number of area activities including guided tours of the U.S. Capitol, Library of Congress and National Gallery. The complete conference schedule can be found here. The early bird registration rate is available until June 30.

More details are available on the conference page at the AHF’s newly improved website. In April, the McLean, Va., association launched the new site to improve user experience with features including forums for members to interact and collaborate. The site offers an intuitive interface, a membership directory that allows members to find friends and connect with business partners, and embedded social media and videos.
