Edward Don Buys Atlanta Fixture

In a huge boost to the regional reach of the nation's third-largest E&S dealer, Edward Don & Co. has acquired Atlanta Fixture and Sales Co

Founded in 1927, Atlanta Fixture is a leading E&S dealer in the Atlanta market and throughout the Southeast, with 2016 sales of nearly $58 million. The company ranked 24th on FER’s 2017 Top Dealers survey. Don had sales of nearly $849 million in 2016.

“We look forward to adding the resources of the Atlanta Fixture team in the Southeast Region,” says CEO Steve Don. “Atlanta Fixture has an outstanding reputation with a strength in design and contract, which complements Don’s strengths in distribution of everything but the food.”

“We are excited to join forces with the Don family,” says Atlanta Fixture President Ron Bruck. “Our customers can expect the same great service they have received from Atlanta Fixture in the Southeast, as well as take advantage of Don’s national footprint.”

Atlanta Fixture will operate as a division of Woodridge, Ill.-based Don and remain under the leadership team of Bruck, Bill Watson, Marty Levenstiem and Jess Logan. Its 60,000 sq.ft. headquarters and showroom, as well as a full-service distribution center serving Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and the Florida Panhandle, will remain in operation.

The deal represents Don’s first acquisition since its investment from Vestar Capital Partners in March.
