Warren Manzer, just named by Chowbotics as its new V.P.-Foodservice Sales, is overseeing sales of the Redwood City, Calif., company’s automated products, including Sally the Salad Robot, to cafeterias, convenience stores, and restaurants. Manzer most recently served as president of Foodservice at Clipper, a smallwares and uniform supply company; prior to that, he was senior v.p.-sales at Crown Brands. He spent the early part of his career at Panasonic, where he acted as national accounts manager for its commercial foodservice and hospitality divisions.

Zink Foodservice’s Kevin Jennings has been elected to the board of the Illinois Restaurant Association. Jennings, who is V.P./GM of Zink’s Tabletop & Smallwares Division, will serve on the association’s education foundation and help organize various events that raise scholarship funds for up and coming chefs.

Captain D’s, the 535-unit fast-casual seafood chain, has elevated Brad Reed to Chief Development Officer. Reed, who had served since 2010 as v.p.-franchise operations for the Nashville chain, is responsible for spearheading Captain D’s growth through franchising and real estate development in key target markets, as well as driving new franchisee recruitment. Prior to joining Captain D’s, he was a franchisee with Salsarita’s Fresh Cantina and Texas Roadhouse.

Seattle-based MOD Super-Fast Pizza Holdings has made three executive-level promotions. COO Paul Twohig is adding the title of President. In his dual role, he’ll continue to oversee daily company operations while also leading store development, culinary, supply chain, innovation, and international and franchise operations. Twohig joined MOD from Dunkin’ Donuts where he was President; he also previously served as COO and EVP of Panera Bread and spent a total of 14 years at Starbucks in executive roles in the U.S. and U.K. MOD opened 110 new locations systemwide in 2017, ending the year with 302 system-wide operating restaurants and expanded into seven new states.

Roy Rogers Restaurants has tapped chain veteran Jeremy Biser as Executive V.P. He joins the Frederick, Md.-based company after serving Dunkin’ Brands as v.p.-international operating systems, learning, food safety and equipment; earlier in his career, he held leadership posts with Dunkin’ Donuts and Starbucks. In his new position, Biser will concentrate on optimizing unit performance and positioning the brand to grow throughout the Mid-Atlantic states. Now marking its 50th anniversary, Roy Rogers has 24 company-owned restaurants and 29 franchise outlets in six states.
