Although eliminating plastic straws and installing solar panels are good steps in going green, what about all the food waste tossed in the trash? BioNova America digester systems process food waste to a stable, dry, odor-free material that can be used as compost or as a fuel in a BioNova biomass boiler (for heating and hot water) for a zero-waste solution.  “Users continuously empty their pre-prep and food scraps collected during the day directly into the BioNova (with or without a pre-shredder) so there is no need to store food waste until haulers come to pick it up,” explains Sonny Burkett, CEO of BioNova America.  Uniquely developed enzymes that last up to 15 years break down organic waste (including biodegradable dinnerware) and reduce mass and volume by up to 75% in less than 24 hr.  Without added fresh water or grey water discharge.  If no material is added to the digester, the system automatically goes into a dormant/ sleep mode and is awakened with the addition of new material for up to 2 months. “In many cases, [the system] can be paid for with savings from waste hauling costs,” adds Burkett.  “Clients can achieve their sustainability and legislative goals by eliminating food waste being dumped into landfills.” Six different systems are available that process 200 lb. To more than 6 tons of food waste daily to accommodate single- or multi-site operations.
BioNova America

Serial Number Lookup, available at, enables you to enter a specific serial number of an equipment model and view only the OEM replacement parts needed for that specific piece of equipment.  It also provides you with the current equipment warranty information.  The tool supports a more precise search and order process for buying replacement parts.  Currently, about 14 brands participate in the lookup tool with more expected soon.

Mobile and rugged, the “Tank Tank” Waste Cooking Oil Containment Caddy now is hands-free thanks to an onboard motor, pump, and wand. Just wheel the 74-gal.  Tank to your fryer, suction out the waste oil, then wheel it to a permanent containment unit and pump oil out.  Burn and slip risks are eliminated since the oil is locked inside during transport. Frontline also offers a 47-gal.  Unit for smaller operations.
