The World Gears Up For HostMilano

Spring will turn to summer and then fall, and by October, all eyes in the E&S world will turn toward Italy for HostMilano.

The fair’s 41^st edition, set to take place October 18-22 at Fieramilano, will once again welcome thousands of foodservice professionals to examine innovative equipment, learn about future trends, and create business opportunities.

Show organizers have signed on nearly 1,300 companies from 45 different countries to exhibit. While the largest number from outside Italy are Germany, Spain, France, the United States, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Portugal, at least three countries—Albania, Latvia and Colombia—will be making their debuts. More than 1,500 “hosted” buyers from 80 different countries and five continents will be attending.

Among the more than 500 events on the schedule—including workshops, data and research presentations, tastings, show-cooking events, and training opportunities—are competitions. HostMilano will, for the third time, play host to the finals of the Cake Designers World Championship and the World Trophy of Pastry, Ice Cream and Chocolate. The European Pizza Championship and the Italian Coffeehouse Grand Prix also will take center stage.
