KaTom Restaurant Supply Founder, President and CEO Patricia Bible announces a planned 100,000-sq.-ft., $7.5 million expansion to KaTom’s distribution center in Kodak, Tenn., during a March 25 event at the facility. Site preparation for the construction is underway now.

The foodservice equipment dealership KaTom Restaurant Supply is making a significant investment in its Kodak, Tenn., distribution center.

The company announced it will invest $7.5 million to expand its distribution operations at the center by adding 100,000 sq. ft. of space. KaTom says the project will strengthen its ability to meet its growing foodservice customer demands for restaurant, kitchen, bar and pizza equipment and supplies.

Over the next five years, the project is expected to create 120 new jobs in Sevier County, Tenn., adding to the current staff of more than 200 at the Kodak facility.

“It is an amazing tribute to all of team KaTom that even when the industry has gone through a tough time, we need to start yet another expansion,” says Patricia Bible, KaTom Founder, President and CEO. “This additional 100,000 sq. ft. will enable us to have more of what our customers need as soon as they need it, and it helps position KaTom for the next generation of leadership. For a family-owned business like KaTom, that’s critical.”

KaTom, founded in 1987, landed the No. 6 spot on FER’s 2021 Top Dealers list.
