BBQ Holdings is adding yet another concept to its portfolio.

The parent company to brands like Famous Dave’s, Granite City Food and Brewery and its newly acquired brands Village Inn and Bakers Square is purchasing the California-based steakhouse chain Tahoe Joe’s.

“We are thrilled to welcome Tahoe Joe’s into the BBQ Holdings family. This well-loved brand will fold seamlessly into our portfolio, and we can’t wait to start working with the fantastic people who have made Tahoe Joe’s what it is today and to get the brand on a rejuvenated path to growth,” says BBQ Holdings’ CEO Jeff Crivello in a press release.

Founded in 1993, Tahoe Joe’s has five California locations and is known for its steaks, burgers, pork chops and shrimp.

The purchase comes as BBQ Holdings won a bankruptcy auction for Fresh Acquisitions, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in April. Fresh Acquisitions was the parent company to Hometown Buffet, Ryan’s, Furr’s Fresh Buffet, Old Country Buffet and Tahoe Joe’s. BBQ Holdings has no immediate plans to reopen the buffet brands, according to a press release.

As of mid-August, BBQ Holdings operated six brands with 299 locations in three countries. In addition to these locations, the company has eight company-owned Famous Dave’s ghost kitchens operating within its Granite City locations and 17 Famous Dave’s franchisee ghost kitchens operating out of the kitchen of another restaurant location or a shared kitchen space.
