Gone untreated, scale buildup can impact beverage quality and equipment performance alike.

Middleby today announced its acquisition of Chandler, Ariz.-based TERRY Water Treatment Solutions.

The newly acquired company offers an environmentally friendly solution to eliminate and prevent scale buildup associated with water usage in commercial foodservice equipment including steam, ice and beverage products.

TERRY LOGO FNL copy“TERRY is currently a partner with several Middleby brands, and our customers have greatly benefited from their solution with improved equipment performance, reduced maintenance, and consistent high quality of food, ice and beverage,” says Tim FitzGerald, Middleby CEO, in a press release.

“There is significant potential to expand the TERRY customer base and grow their sales through our current, extensive Middleby product portfolio and customer channels,” FitzGerald adds.

This year, Middleby has completed two other acquisitions. In January, it scooped up Flavor Burst, which creates multi-flavor add-ons for beverage and ice cream equipment. Then, in June, the company announced its acquisition of Filtration Automation Inc., a maker of high-capacity oil filtration machines for food processing operations.
