Middleby Culinary has elevated Kyle Wilson from executive sous chef at Middleby Innovation Kitchens (MIK) to chef de cuisine.

In his new position, he will have expanded responsibilities for the day-to-day operations of the 40,000-sq.-ft., state-of-the-art demonstration facility that celebrated its grand opening earlier this year. The facility boasts more than 150 pieces of live equipment in 15 vignettes.

“Chef Kyle’s deep industry experience and natural enthusiasm (have) contributed greatly to the success of the Middleby Innovation Kitchens during our first year of operation. He hit the ground running and quickly became an expert on Middleby equipment and our innovative solutions featured at the MIK,” says Chef Russell Scott, vice president of culinary, in a press release. “Our guests experience Kyle’s genuine enthusiasm and culinary talents every day. He is a gifted and conscientious craftsman who has the ability to connect with our customers and understand their specific needs.”

Before joining Middleby in October 2020, according to his LinkedIn profile, Wilson was an executive chef at the 800-room hotel of Deloitte University.
