Polar King Int’l. has another engineer on its team after hiring Jessica Perfitt to help advance the design of the company’s walk-in freezers and refrigerated units.

Perfitt, who holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Washington, most recently served as a chemical process engineer for Therma-Tru Doors. Before that role, she was a chemical engineer at FXI for three years.

At Polar King, her responsibilities will extend across all facets of designing Polar King units, says the company, from drawings and project implementation to management and support.

“Jessica’s proven capabilities, impressive track record and forward-thinking mindset make her well-poised for success in her new position,” says President Dave Schenkel in a press release. “We rarely come across an engineer candidate like Jessica who has previous experience with polyurethane foam and exterior doors.”

Perfitt joins Polar King’s growing group of engineers. Earlier this year, the Fort Wayne, Ind.-based company hired Kevin Wilson as director of engineering, research and development and refrigeration.
