Jack in the Box Adds Industry Veteran to Its Executive Team
Doug Cook previously spent more than 20 years with Pizza Hut and Sonic.
Jack in the Box has elevated its interim chief technology officer, Doug Cook, to the brand’s official chief technology officer and senior vice president.
Since serving as the interim chief technology officer, Cook has effectively led the technology team and strategy, according to a press release. In his new roles, he will leverage his foodservice expertise to develop and execute strategic initiatives for the brand.
“Doug understands the evolving technology expectations of our guests and will help Jack in the Box grow in that department while ensuring we never lose sight of the importance of optimizing operations and maintaining product quality,” says Jack in the Box CEO Darin Harris in a press release. “We’re excited to welcome Doug to Jack in the Box, and he will serve an integral role as we continue to strengthen our leadership team.”
Before joining Jack in the Box, Cook served as chief information officer for Pizza Hut, overseeing the brand’s IT organization. In addition, he was responsible for the deployment of restaurant and data products, along with other innovative technologies and programs.
Before Pizza Hut, he spent more than two decades with Sonic, applying technologies and analytics to grow the brand’s innovation and market position. His last position with the brand, according to his LinkedIn profile, was vice president of brand technology.
Jack in the Box operates 2,200 restaurants in 21 states and Guam.
