Restaurant Brands Int’l. Promotes 2 Leaders
Burger King names a COO, while Tim Hortons appoints a regional president.
Burger King announced June 1 that it has appointed Peter Perdue as COO for the U.S. and Canada to bring additional focus to operational consistency across the 7,200 Burger King restaurants in North America.
He will oversee restaurant operations, the field team and company-owned restaurants and will continue to report to and work closely with Tom Curtis, president of Burger King U.S. and Canada.
Perdue has been with the brands of Restaurant Brand Int’l. for 10 years, holding senior roles in franchising, operations, finance, field support and retail in the U.S. and in Asia Pacific.
Also, on June 1, Tim Hortons announced it has named Katerina Glyptis as regional president of Tim Hortons U.S. to accelerate growth and development of the brand in the region, reporting to Axel Schwan, president of Tim Hortons Canada and the U.S.
Glyptis, who grew up working in her family’s restaurants, has been with Restaurant Brands Int’l. for nine years, holding senior roles in restaurant development, franchise performance, general manager of Burger King’s central division and most recently, vice president of franchise operations for 7,200 Burger King restaurants in the U.S. and Canada.
