Houston-based Shipley Do-Nuts has hired Jim Fisher as senior vice president of supply chain as the doughnut concept gains momentum.

Fisher comes to the brand from Krispy Kreme where he served as senior director of global strategic sourcing. Before his tenure at Krispy Kreme, he spent 17 years at Pillsbury/General Mills in several leadership roles, including senior manager of sourcing.

In his new role with Shipley Do-Nuts, he will oversee all aspects of supply chain for the expanding brand. Shipley Do-Nuts, which currently has more than 330 locations, has signed new development deals for over 70 new units this year, for a total of more than 350 planned units in the pipeline.

“Shipley is currently growing faster than any other period in its history, and Jim is joining us at a pivotal time as the nation experiences widespread supply chain challenges,” says Shipley CEO Clifton Rutledge in a press release. “His expertise and leadership will be crucial in keeping our system running smoothly as we increase unit count and expand our footprint into new territories.”

Most recently, Shipley Do-Nuts announced expansions plans in Texas after inking a pair of deals with two multiunit operators to develop 20 additional locations in the state. The brand plans to enter new states, including Maryland and Georgia, soon.
