Roy Rogers Taps New EVP

Quick-service chain Roy Rogers has appointed restaurant franchise industry veteran Adam Klaers as its executive vice president.

In this role, Klaers will focus on optimizing performance of existing company and franchise locations while positioning the 42-unit brand for growth in new markets.

The executive joins Roy Rogers from Toms King, a Burger King franchise group, where he oversaw its 60 locations and implemented strategic initiatives. His experience also includes serving as director of operations for Chipotle, regional director of operations for a 90-unit Great American Cookie Co. franchise group and multiunit manager for Taco Bell.

“Adam is an exciting new addition to the Roy Rogers leadership team and family,” says Roy Rogers Co-President Jim Plamondon in a press release. “He has a great track record in our quick-service industry, and I’m confident that his strategic vision and proven leadership will strengthen our growing system and increase our sales and profitability.”

Roy Rogers consists of 25 company-owned restaurants and 17 franchise restaurants in six states, with more stores expected next year. The brand says franchisee One Holland Restaurant Group will open the first of 10 units planned in greater Cincinnati and northern Kentucky in early 2023.
